Art that makes you happy
Birgitta Lindeblad has been painting all her life. Now over 80 years old, she continues to paint with the same joy of devoting herself to art and what she loves most, painting.
She is best known for her painted pictures of chubby ladies enjoying the good things in life. She got inspiration for the pictures from her childhood summers at the nude bath at Saltholmen cold bath house and from Hagabadet here in Gothenburg. But also from observing the world with a large portion of humor. Many of the bathing pictures of the happy ladies probably also come from Halla, Edshultshall on Orust. Birgitta Lindeblad has had an art exhibition there in her boathouse for twenty-five years, every summer.
