The property is located in the southern part of the San Ferdinando neighborhood, on Pizzofalcone Hill, more commonly known as Monte di Dio. This area of Naples lies between the Santa Lucia district, Chiatamone, and Chiaia. Although not very large, it still boasts important historical and artistic sites.
It was precisely the Pizzofalcone hill, in the second half of the 8th century, that constituted one of the borders of ancient Parthenope, which extended between the aforementioned and the islet of Megaride.
The name "Pizzofalcone" dates back to a time when the hill was not yet part of the urban fabric and was designated by the then King of Naples, Charles I of Anjou, for falconry. For this purpose, the sovereign built a falconry on the hill specifically for the royal hunt. While the name "Pizzofalcone" therefore dates back to the mid-13th century, the second name for this area is much later. The name "Monte di Dio" derives, in fact, from the church and convent of the same name founded in this very area in the 16th century.This elegant and refined property is located near Via Chiaia, one of Naples' most elegant shopping streets, 50 meters from Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, and the Teatro San Carlo. It's a 5-minute walk from the seafront and the main port, where ferries and hydrofoils depart for the islands of Capri and Ischia, and the towns of Sorrento, Amalfi, and Positano.
