Ferrar House is next to the historic church of St John's, Little Gidding and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Little Gidding is famous for the Ferrars who came to the area in 1626. The manor house was dilapidated, and the church was used as a barn and pig sty. Little Gidding is also famous for the visit, in 1936, of the poet T. S. Eliot, who published "Little Gidding" as the conclusion of his "Four Quartets" in 1942.
