The La Détente adventure began on July 10, 1995, in a 7,000 square foot space on Maloney Boulevard East in Gatineau. From the outset, our goal was to create a place where customers would feel at home, offering the finest living room furniture from Quebec and Canadian manufacturers, in a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
In 2002, La Détente took another step forward by moving to a more spacious and better-located space at 25 Chemin de la Savane in Gatineau. Our showroom, spanning nearly 15,000 square feet, has become a true showcase for our dining room, bedroom, and living room furniture, as well as a multitude of carefully selected accessories. We are proud to continue prioritizing Quebec and Canadian manufacturers, offering quality furniture that reflects our passion for local craftsmanship.
Today, it is with immense joy that the second generation takes up the torch, bringing with it a modern and innovative vision.
