It's 1987. Barbara Mariani, after ten years of experience as a sales assistant in the stationery sector, takes over her brother's small shop and, together with her sister Fortunata, opens the "Punto Carta" in Piazza Garibaldi in Lissone.
It appears to be a small shop that fills up quickly, but it's stocked with everything from paper, rope, stationery, to gift wrapping and party supplies. Over the years, the shop grows in professionalism and expands, as hobby items begin to make their way into the market. The turning point comes in the early 2000s.
The two sisters decided to take the plunge and moved the historic shop to the central Via Santi Pietro e Paolo. In 2005, the new Punto Carta opened : four windows, 150 square meters of creativity and color. That same year, young Manuela joined the business, bringing with her the drive to renew the services offered.
Today, Punto Carta , after 35 years of business, retains the distinctive features of the historic village shop combined with a constant search for new products, new creative techniques, and above all, new services. Alongside Bic pens, classic school stationery, and cake discs and lace, you can find the brand new Sizzix Big Shot dies, Tombow Dual Brush markers, as well as handmade invitations and professional prints.
